1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the Edge Icons API (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these terms for that organization.
2. Service Description
Edge Icons provides an API that allows users to generate icons using artificial intelligence. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the API in accordance with these terms.
The Service offers 9 unique icon styles including Minimal, Illustration, Cartoon, Deco, Isometric, Retro, Linocut, Playful, and Pixel. New users receive 10 permanent free credits to get started.
3. Usage & Restrictions
- API Keys: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys. Any activity under your API key is your responsibility. Do not share your API keys publicly.
- Prohibited Content: You may not use the Service to generate icons that depict violence, hate speech, illegal acts, or infringe on third-party intellectual property.
- Prompt Injection: You may not use the API to attempt to "jailbreak" or exploit the underlying AI models through prompt injection or similar techniques.
- Reverse Engineering: You may not attempt to reverse engineer the underlying AI models or the API infrastructure.
- Rate Limiting: We reserve the right to throttle or limit API access to maintain service stability and prevent abuse.
4. Ownership and Intellectual Property
- Your Inputs: You retain ownership of the text prompts and parameters you provide to the API.
- Generated Icons: Subject to your compliance with these terms and the terms of our upstream AI model providers, Edge Icons assigns to you all right, title, and interest in the output generated by the API for your commercial or personal use.
- Copyright Notice: Current US law suggests that purely AI-generated works may not be copyrightable. We assign whatever rights we have in the generated content to you, but cannot guarantee copyright protection for AI-generated icons.
- AI Training: We do not use your inputs or outputs to train our proprietary models.
5. Payments and Credits
- Billing: Services are billed on both a subscription and pay-as-you-go (top-up) basis. You may purchase credit packages or subscribe to a monthly plan.
- Free Credits: New accounts receive 10 permanent free credits upon creating their first API key.
- Credit Usage: Each icon generation consumes 1 credit from your account balance.
- Refunds: Due to the high computational costs of AI generation, credits are generally non-refundable unless required by law. Subscription refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
6. Service Availability
Edge Icons is built on Cloudflare Workers for global low-latency access. While we strive for high availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is." Edge Icons shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the AI-generated content or the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
